आठवाँ खण्ड श्रीविद्या-तन्त्र और अद्वैत-वेदान्त के संगम पर बैठता है। “सच्चिदानन्द-रूपिणी” (सत्-चित्-आनन्द-स्वरूप, सात-सौ का नाम) पारम्परिक वेदान्त-शब्दावली है। “ब्रह्म-विद्या” (नाम तेरह-सौ-बत्तीस) सीधे ब्रह्म-ज्ञान के साथ देवी को identify करता है।
यह बहुत-महत्त्व का संगम है। हिन्दू-परम्परा में अधिकांश-तौर पर वेदान्त और तन्त्र दो-अलग-paths माने जाते हैं, मगर श्रीविद्या ने इन्हें एक-दूसरे की पूर्ति के रूप में रखा है। यह खण्ड उसी एकीकरण का दार्शनिक-नक्शा है।
शंकराचार्य के ग्रंथ “सौन्दर्य-लहरी” (आठवीं सदी) में देवी का तत्त्व-स्वरूप वेदान्त-शब्दावली में बँधा है। उसी ग्रंथ का सौवाँ श्लोक प्रसिद्ध है, “सरस्वत्या लक्ष्म्या विधि-हरि-सपत्नो विहरते।” इस-पंक्ति में देवी को ब्रह्मा-विष्णु-शिव त्रिमूर्ति की एकीकृत-शक्ति बताया गया है।
आठवें-खण्ड में वेदान्त-शब्दावली का प्रभाव सबसे-अधिक है। नाम सात-सौ-एक से आठ-सौ तक के बीच ‘सत्-चित्-आनन्द’, ‘ब्रह्म’, ‘आत्मा’, ‘विज्ञान-घन’, ‘चिद्-रूप’ जैसे शब्द बार-बार आते हैं। यह शब्दावली आदि-शंकराचार्य (788-820 ई.) की केवल-अद्वैत-शैली से सीधा-जुड़ती है।
श्रीविद्या-परम्परा अद्वैत-वेदान्त को अपना-दार्शनिक-आधार मानती है। यह बात आधुनिक-काल में अक्सर भुला दी जाती है, क्योंकि लोग ‘तन्त्र’ और ‘वेदान्त’ को अलग-धाराएँ मान बैठते हैं। मगर श्रीविद्या-साधक के लिए दोनों एक ही सत्य के दो-पाठ्य-स्तर हैं।
आधुनिक-काल में रामकृष्ण-परमहंस (1836-1886) ने अपनी ‘षोडशी-पूजा’ में सारदा-देवी को ललिता-स्वरूप में पूजा था। यह घटना 1872 की है, दक्षिणेश्वर-मन्दिर में। रामकृष्ण के शिष्य स्वामी सारदानन्द ने इस घटना का विस्तृत-वर्णन ‘श्री-श्री-रामकृष्ण-लीला-प्रसङ्ग’ में किया है।
